1. Preparation

Familiarise yourself (and plan in advance) with the available dormitory housing. Copenhagen can get very expensive, especially housing for medium-term stay, hence dorms are the best choice. If you are traveling from Germany, I can definitely recommend going by train, as the danish network is very good and the views on the way to Copenhagen are very beautiful as well.

2. Accommodation

Search with a bit of time to spare and apply as soon as possible for the CBS dormitories, they are the best choice. An alternative for medium-term stay are websites like HousingAnywhere or Uniplaces, however these will be more expensive and not as fun. Location-wise, you almost can't go wrong! All areas in Copenhagen are considered safe, and even the furthest districts are only ~20min away from Campus (bike or metro).

3. Academic life at host university

Great facilities all around, amazing Mensa. The culture and teaching style is similar to WU, expect that there is no mandatory attendance, however my classes where usually full anyways. I would recommend just doing a course that sounds fun or one that you need to credit at WU. All profs/courses I had were of A+ quality.

5. Every day life in the host country

Amazing public transport (runs 24/7), very safe city, never felt in danger or out of place. Social life and partying is amazing, but can get expensive quick. The university hosted a welcome week with all sorts of events, and afterwards there are many things to attend. Regarding sports, I have never seen as many people running, biking or going to the gym as in Copenhagen. Other sports like football etc are also available.

One sentence is enough: I fell in love with Copenhagen and will apply to do my masters degree here!
