1. Preparation

Connect with the other students who go to Singapore We decided to all book and Bedroom in a shared apartment in one building via COVE I planned to got to Malaysia by plane (For New Year) and then by bus to Singapore. Back home with scoot ( Direct flight Singapore Vienna, good value for money)

2. Accommodation

Singapore is very safe in general, The Bayron on Cove had a great location because it was very close to Orchard road and SMU. It was a shared apartment. Mostly students and some "young professionals".

3. Academic life at host university

the campus is very good. Nice classrooms and facilities in general (Pool, Gym etc.) Teaching style was more personal, a lot of presentations and class participation. Macro and Micro are a lot harder than at WU (Dont choose that if you are looking for a lot of leisure time)

5. Every day life in the host country

It's very safe, Public transport is fast. I can really recommend the sport classes at SMU. I did Muay Thai as a complete beginner and learned a lot. That's also the way to get to know new people the best. There are many great Clubs and Bars. Download aentry app for events boat quay for relatively cheap beer. Many famous artists at Marquee and Cel a vie for the best view I ever had in a club. Singapore is perfect fort traveling (Airport is a big international hub and scoot has some cheap flights.) Can recommend Japan during the Mid Term Break. Bali is close as well (Batam is not really worth it) Kuala Lumpur is great (Bus or plane) Vietnam is also a big recommendation.

6. Testimonial

Overall it was just a great experience, I wish I could have stayed longer. I expected Singapore to be strict and unpersonal but got proofed wrong. The people there are very nice and open the university is really supportive and Singapore is just a nice country.
