1. Preparation

Before booking your trip, compare different airports and travel options, such as flights and trains. Also make sure to read all the information provided by the partner university, especially details about services such as airport pick-up.

2. Accommodation

I read all the information provided by the partner university and applied for student housing as soon as applications opened. I was lucky enough to get a place. Make sure to check the application deadlines and opening dates carefully. Tilburg is not very large, but living close to the university is very convenient. The city centre is also easy to reach by bike. For everyday life, I found it very practical to live next to the campus.

3. Academic life at host university

I found it difficult to match specific courses at Tilburg University with equivalent courses at WU Vienna. The exams were also quite challenging.

5. Every day life in the host country

Public transport is generally very good. NS offers several subscription plans with a monthly fee that provide discounted train tickets. For everyday life, having a bicycle is essential. Bikes can be rented, and repairs are usually included in the rental price. The university also has a sports centre where members can try a wide range of different sports.

6. Testimonial

The people I lived with and got to meet was the most special thing. It's hard to meet People at university so I really recommend to live in a student house where you can connect with other Exchange people. Dont underestimate the University tho, it's not just a party university like in other countries.
