Look at courses in Detail, especially what they require. Furthermore, start looking for accommodations very early, because finding a place to stay in Barcelona is far more complicated and expensive then I expected
I stayed at a student residence called micampus, I really liked it because I had my own room, kitchen and bathroom. But the location was quite unpractical and 30 min away from university. (970/month) Concerning safety, it is not the safest place, but there is security in front of the building. Micampus offers a gym, a cinema room, partys, a pool
I liked the university, but in some courses the professor did not like exchange students at all and graded very unfair und strict. But overall the professors were very nice and the lectures interesting. I can recommend "international strategic management", "strategic management" but i did not like "international marketing", because of the prof of the lecture and his way of teaching. Apart from that, campus is beautiful and only 5 min away from the beach! The old library is also amazing!
for the entire exchange
Public transportation is amazing, you can get a ticket at placa catalunya for 40 or 45 euros for three month. Go there and get a T-mobility ticket. There are also a lot of sport clubs and people practice sport a lot outdoors-> amazing for running and volleyball:)
I loved the erasmus boat partys-> check them out online on their instagram page! The erasmus organisers are all super friendly and there is a beerpong tournament at the tavern every thursday and karaoke night at sonora every wednesday! Furthermore, check out Ovella negra, it is a very popular pub for students:) and if you gonna be there in summer, go to the seasea beach club events, its an amazing location. Barcelona is a special city and I am so grateful that I got to know so many incredible people and made so many amazing experiences!
