2. Accommodation

In Poland Facebook can be very useful or websites like housinganywhere, erasmusplay, Pepehousing. I stayed in a private student dormitory (Milestone) and recommend it because of its convenience. It is however rather expensive and costs 2999zl (700€) per month.

3. Academic life at host university

The Students from the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) are very kind and supportive. There are many events with a broad spectrum or everyones interests: Party, Culture, Sport, Creative. Campus infrastructure is good. Not the newest rooms, best Internet, however everything is available. The academic culture and teaching style depends on the course and lecturerer. In general its quite good. In comparison to those at WU Vienna the courses the interactiveness of the students is lower at UEK.

5. Every day life in the host country

Public transport is great and convenient in poland. Use app: Jakojade. Safety situation: Cracow and Poland is very clean and safe Social/leisure activities, events, sports options: There are plenty museums, Bars, Sport possibilities. It can easily compete with other international large cities in Europe.

My exchange in Krakow was a truly enriching experience. The city is incredibly beautiful, with a deep sense of history and a vibrant culture that offers a fantastic quality of life. While the leisure activities are perfect, it’s the people who made it special. Especially the ESN team, whose incredible support and their amazing activities made me feel welcome from the very start.
