Start with visa process and looking for an accommodation as soon as possible

2. Accommodation

Private housing, off campus, don't sign deals for longer than one semester, you'll have troubles finding someone for sublease. I know many students who couldn't find anybody and had to pay for the entire duration of the lease.

3. Academic life at host university

Campus is huge, courses easier than in Vienna, smaller classrooms, less people

5. Every day life in the host country

public transport surprisingly good, pretty safe campus, a lot of social activities, going to bars a few times a week, top-level sport facilities

Good experience, different country, different culture, different teaching style, worth doing exchange semester here if your main studies are in Europe.
