1. Preparation

Start planning early and find out about the universities and the number of places available. Note the deadlines set by WU for the application process. Prepare for the interview. Please note that proof of your language skills is required. Allow enough time for the application process.

2. Accommodation

I really wanted to live on campus to have a real student life. The application process for housing was very simple: there is a website that lists all available accommodations. I chose a suitable house (Boyd Hall) and applied online. I shared a room with an American student, which I really enjoyed. Boyd Hall is only a five-minute walk from Gatton Business College. It is modern, secure, and has an electronic access system.

3. Academic life at host university

UKY has an active student life: The semester started with Blue Week, a welcome week for all students, where you can get to know the university and all the academic facilities and make new friends. This made it easy to find new friends and get off to a good start in my studies. The courses have fewer participants than those at WU. Overall, everything is more personal.

5. Every day life in the host country

There are free buses on campus, lots of sports activities, and the International Office helps you network well.
