- Time spent at the partner university: 5 months
For the application at WU, I recommend starting early and reading all partner university requirements carefully, especially course restrictions and nomination deadlines. When preparing for the semester in Prague, it helps to book accommodation as soon as possible, since student housing fills up quickly. I also suggest arranging travel a few weeks before the semester starts to have enough time for administrative steps like registering with the university and settling into the city. Overall, the preparation process is straightforward if you stay organized and keep track of all documents.
I stayed in the VSE dormetories(Eislerova kolej). It was located in Prague 3 and it was 15-20 minutes by tram from the university. No tips needed, just be more open and you will have one of the best experiences of your life.
The campus at WU is of course better, but VSE also has a decent one. The best course I had was European Union and its Policies. My professor was Michal Bednar. One of the best professors I've ever had.
for the entire exchange
Great cheap food and beer. The transport is also very cheap and good organized, but there are always a lot of people inside. I would recommend going to football games, I personally attended the ones of Sparta Prague.
I made a lot of friendships. I experienced a lot from the local culture. I attended activities that I really enjoyed such as football games. One of the courses in the university(European Union and its Policies) was really interesting, which made my time on campus more enjoyable.
