1. Preparation

The Learning agreement can and will be changed in your semester abroad You can read about most of your questions on the website get an apartment as early as possible and check that it is close to uni and close to city center

2. Accommodation

I used StudentAtHome Get flat as soon as possible I lived near casa de musica at the big roundabout, best spot because close to uni and city center and good public transport connection and many other students close by I lived in a shared flat with 4 others, 3 of them students at my university

3. Academic life at host university

a lot of lectures, almost Every day there are lectures and workshops for each course, lectures can be skipped without a consequence, workshops a bit more strict (and also quite good, I would recommend attending) There are 2 midterms in most classes, only the better one counts in the final grade and one end exam The exams where way harder than I imagined so if you want a good grade you should not underestimate the work load The grading is very very strict Do NOT take Leadership and Motivation, really shitty course (aside from workshop), insanely strict graded and insanely hard exam Decision making also not recommended, large workload Campus is quite nice

5. Every day life in the host country

Metro was very good and reliable, the buses do arrive just not as scheduled I never felt unsafe but I have heard about a few sketchy situations, overall of you do not look for trouble nothing will happen Uber is very cheap going out to bars is also very cheap clubs a bit more expensive but still cheap compared to Vienna overall everything is quite cheap in comparison

6. Testimonial

10/10 experience Easy to meet people and connect during esn or elp events, lots of opportunities for trips (Madeira Marocco Algarve Lisbon ...) Flixbus is very cheap perfect for short trips (6€ ticket to Lisbon 3 hour drive) Nightlife is insane especially Fridays ( but there are people every day) in the park near Adega bar it is full of people, my favorite place a lot of very good and cheap restaurants (Thailander, Pattaya, Curb, Nicoleau, ...)
