1. Preparation

Start your preparations rather earlier than later. For example, if you need to buy things that are not immediatley available but need to be ordered in advance, it is beneficial to have more time. The last two weeks before your departure are passing so fast.

2. Accommodation

Accomodation was provided by the host univerity (Hung Hom Student Halls). It was probably the best accomodation I could have imagined. From the proximity to the university (5-10 minute walk to campus) to the food spots near by, the room itself the sports facilities, everything about it was amazing. You need to bring / buy your own bed sheets, blankts and pillows.

3. Academic life at host university

The campus has a huge offer of sports facilities (Tennis, Soccer, Squash, Swimmingpool, 3 Gyms, Tabletennis, calisthenics park, basketball and more). It also has a large variety of good (and some not so good) cantines and restaurants (probably over 10 different spots). Teaching style was similar to WU but exams etc are way easier and there is low attendance requirements. (If you want a free / easy course, take Airport Management, it is with a german prof too).

5. Every day life in the host country

Public transportation in hong kong is perfect. You can get everythere within 15-30 minutes. Uber is also affortable. The airport offers flights everywhere and some airlines (like Hong Kong Express) are similarly cheap to ryanair. International Office offers some events / trips but can't be compared to EBN from WU. Sports facilities are abundant

6. Testimonial

Over all, the excahnge was a dream! Hong Kong is truely special and has things to offer to every type of person. No matter what you like / what you are interested in, Hong Kong has it! The only thing I personally didn't like was the parties / clubs, tho I'm actually someone who loves partying. It was just not authentic imo.
