1. Preparation

There wasn't much I needed to do to prepare. The application process through my home university was straightforward, and most administrative things were handled between the two schools. If I had to give one piece of advice, it would be: just be open to new things. Don't overthink it — go in with an open mind and you'll be fine.

2. Accommodation

Finding a place to live was easy thanks to the partnership between my home university and BI. The partner university offered housing options, which took a lot of stress out of the process. I'd recommend using whatever the university provides rather than searching on your own, especially in a city like Oslo where the private rental market can be tough. Personally, I chose SiO Bjölsen and i can really recommend it.

3. Academic life at host university

The academic workload at BI was manageable. Courses were well-organized and the teaching style was engaging. The workload felt balanced — enough to keep you busy but still leaving plenty of time to explore the city and travel. Group work and class participation played a bigger role than I was used to, but it was a good change.

5. Every day life in the host country

Life in Oslo was very peaceful and tranquil. The city is clean, safe, and surrounded by nature, which makes it easy to find a good balance between studying and relaxing. People are friendly but reserved at first. I really enjoyed the slower pace and the outdoor culture.

6. Testimonial

This was one of the best times of my life. I met great people, experienced a completely different culture, and grew a lot as a person. Everything — from the academics to daily life — just worked well together. I wouldn't change a thing.
