Ideally, try to get into Aparto next to Bocconi. It's by far the best option as it's full of students and pretty cheap. The deadline here will vary and is pretty early.
I used Idealista and got one room in a shared apartment. Contact as many listings as possible in Italian, as most agents simply won't respond. Try to get into Aparto or get a place in Navilgi, Bocconi, Porta Romana or Mercalli. All of these are great because you can get to Bocconi on foot. Safety-wise, I would honestly recommend going out as a group at night
The courses are great because there are incredible guest speakers. However, choose non-attending for almost all courses, even if you wish to attend! Other people might say being an attending student makes it easier - it absolutely doesn't. You will just get put into group projects with people who are graded on either pass/fail, and will make your life SLIGHTLY INCONVENIENT. Courses I can recommend are: GO-TO-MARKET-STRATEGIES FOR STARTUPS FINTECH FOR BANKING AND FINANCIAL TRANSFORMATION BUSINESS VALUATION (difficult)
for the entire exchange
Events are really cool, most of which are hosted by ESN, so make sure to join them during your signup at Bocconi. If you are into golfing, Bocconi offers free golf practice every Friday, which is nice.
My exchange at Bocconi offered the perfect balance of challenging coursework and enjoyable social events that made connecting with international peers effortless. A major academic highlight was the high caliber of guest speakers, who brought real-world insights directly into the classroom.
