I flew there so that I could write my exams in Vienna and still be in Tallinn in time for Welcome Day. You need to think of something in advance to help pass the time during the very cold winter, otherwise it will drag on; for me, it was sport.
The university doesn't offer on campus accommodation but you will get an email form the EBS where they recommend Larsen, these are serviced appartments, clean and modern and I think the best and easiest option. They got different buildings, I can recommend the SUME by Larsen. It's perfectly connected to the university by bus.
The university is very small, and the courses aren’t particularly difficult if you choose the right ones. I’d recommend the marketing courses, there are lots of group projects and it’s very easy to get good grades.
for the entire exchange
Public transport is free if you sign up for it. The city is very safe, you only occasionally read in the news about drones from the Russia-Ukraine war entering Estonian airspace, but in everyday life you don’t really notice it. Because of the cold winter in the first months there isn't much to do, but there are plenty of gyms and saunas, you really must experience the sauna culture.
My exchange was a unique experience, especially because of the very dark and cold winter, which really teaches you to stay active and keep yourself busy. What made it special were the trips to the Scandinavian countries, which are an absolute must and one of the biggest highlights. The university was quite easy to manage, so I had enough time to explore.
