1. Preparation

Check before if WU accepts your classes, even if they are listed in the excel sheet. And besides that try to learn the customs of the country and inform yourself about different types of the culture. Be open minded and dont try to compare it to your own culture.

2. Accommodation

It was alright, I used an online platform(Idealista) and stayed in a good area, which was safe and my way to university took me an hour. I started looking too late.

3. Academic life at host university

The campus was basic and the academic culture was very relaxed. The teaching style was more friendly but much less structured and effective.

5. Every day life in the host country

Public transport is was very cheap (only 10€) and I always felt very safe. I went out a lot and went to many restaurants and bars. I played sports with firends and furthermore I travelled a lot. I watched football games and visited many different events.

6. Testimonial

For me Madrid is one of the best cities I have ever been to. The vibe in the city is amazing and there are so many different things to do. That what I enjoyed, because i am very outgoing and the different sceneries were the perfect variety. Therefore everyday was special, because in Madrid I was always happy and when I travelled I was happy to go home why was basically going from one vacation to another.
