1. Preparation

Since Vienna is very near to Prague, my parents drove me there by car. But you can also easily take the bus or train. Other than that I didn't prepare much for the exchange in advance.

2. Accommodation

First, I wanted to stay in a single room in the VSE dorms, but since I didn't get the single room, I refused to stay in a shared room in the dorms. I then searched for a shared flat and found one through Erasmus-in-Prague. The location was Prague 1, which was an amazing location, It was 4 tram stations from the uni, and it was in the middle of the centre. As a girl, it felt very safe (even very late at night). Tips: The dorms are great to meeting new people, all of my friends were staying there, so I went there often anyway. So if you don't mind sharing a room, it's a great experience to always be able to socialize. Sometimes I would've liked to be in the dorms, but on the other hand it was great having my own space especially so central. Of course, the flat was a lot more expensive but it had all the necessary stuff like laundromat, washing mashine, kitchen things and more.

3. Academic life at host university

It was great and very chill. The teachers and students were all very nice. It was very personal and they all had understanding for us being exchange students. In the campus we had cafeteria (cheap and good), coffee place, restaurants in the near, learning and chill areas. I recommend the course "Career development", it was very interactive, you work on your CV and we also had an assessment centre with professionals as practice. Also, if you didn't do the PFO-Course at WU yet, definitely do the HR Management Course there and get it recognized for the credit!!!! The social marketing course didn't get recognized for the Marketing Course at WU but it was still a very nice course for 5 ects.

5. Every day life in the host country

I drove public transport, Tram and underground works great and also throughout the night. I felt very safe there (also at night). You can do so many activities there, so many museums, amazing night life, I also joined a dance club since I dance professionally. I think the uni also offers many sport activities. You won't get bored!!!

6. Testimonial

This exchange was definitely life changing for me, because I met the greatest people and really learned so much about myself. Prague is such a great city to live in, but what made this exchange so unforgettable were the amazing friends I made from all over the world. We even did trips together that were so fun. These few sentences cannot describe what a great time I had there, trust me you will enjoy it so much, don't be scared to talk to new people, step out of your comfort zone and try out everything you wanted to but were scared to do before<3
