1. Preparation

Plan the flight ahead, so the tickets won't be too expensive. Make a list of what to bring. Don't bring too much stuff as you will buy a lot of souvenirs and other cool stuff.

2. Accommodation

Found a lot of good and affordable accommodations, but wasn't sure weither they were safe or just a scam, so I decided to go with UNIJA which is a well known residence for international students. It was pretty close to Tongji, by bike it only took 10min to get on campus.

3. Academic life at host university

The campus is huge, so biking on campus is pretty common. I only had classes in one building and the classrooms were easy to find. The teaching styles and the whole classroom atmosphere were mostly pretty chill. Some classes were more strict, e.g. Business Negotiation in China. I recommend to take the classes: Fundamentals of Corporate Finance and Private Equity.

5. Every day life in the host country

It is pretty common to use bikes, scooters or just take an uber. I rarely went by sbuway as I preferred to go by bike instead. The university offers a lot of student clubs that you can join. The QR codes were provided at the beginning of the semester.

I really love this exchange experience. I feel like I've grown a lot personally and I really appreciated connecting with international people and having fun with them.
