1. Preparation

I prepared by finding an accommodation approximately a month before the exchange started. I took a flight from Vienna to Tallinn.

2. Accommodation

The search was easy because the study consultants from EBS gave me great advice and help. I lived in an already furnitured apartment. It was safe, location was good and public transport was also fine.

3. Academic life at host university

Different than what I was used to in Munich or Vienna. Very small. Felt like I was at school. Lecturers were really kind.

5. Every day life in the host country

Public transport was pretty solid. City was really safe and small. Therefore pretty boring as well because it was like minus 20 degrees when I arrived. I was bored until May. I had friends in Helsinki instead of the city I was living in because Estonians were not on the same wavelength as me.

6. Testimonial

The exchange was interesting and I am grateful that I had the chance to study abroad. However, I would never go back to Tallinn but I definitely want to have another exchange / short program for my Masters. Only highlight to me was the 24/7 supermarket and gym next to my door.
