The application process was structured and clear. If you have to provide an English certificate I would recommend the Duolingo Test since it's only around 60€. The recognisition table (Anerkennungsdatenbank) provided by WU helps searching for courses. Try to contact other students from WU who have been to CBS before, the workload for courses at CBS can differ heavily even though they all count for 7.5 ECTS. After being nominated by WU for CBS, CBS will contact you and inform you about next steps and registration process. Make sure to not miss the deadlines for course registration.
As an exchange student from WU you can directly apply for dorms throughout the registration process at CBS. You can prioritise different dorms, for my cohort we all got accepted for the dorms. I would recommend Nimbusparken, it's around 860€ / month (normal price for accommodation in Copenhagen), you get your own room and own bathroom and are sharing a common area and kitchen with other exchange students. It is placed in Frederiksberg and a 10-15min walk to the main CBS building.
The master courses differ in their workload. In general it can be said that they are quite demanding. Attendance in classes is not mandatory but I would recommend as otherwise exams will be tough. Courses were between 30-100 students / course and classes were held mostly interactive, lecturers often require participation. For my four classes I selected only courses with home written exams or oral exams and no sit-in exams. At CBS the semester is divided into to half with both ending with an exam period. Some courses start in the beginning of the semester and go though the whole semester, some end after the first half and some start only in the second half. Exam periods were mid/end of October and in December.
for the entire exchange
Most students rent a bike (e.g. Swapfiets) since biking is very common in Copenhagen. From the dorms/ uni it's around 15min to downtown with the bike. There is also a metro but since there are no student/ semester tickets it's quite expensive. I have never experienced any dangerous situation and always felt safe. The erasmus network organises regularly events/ parties for exchange students with free club entrances and similar offers. Additionally, there is a lot to do / explore in Copenhagen on your own so it will not get boring. Some friends have also joined one of the CBS football teams and there is a great gym in Frederiksberg (Fitness X). I would also recommend joining a game of FC Copenhagen.
For me the exchange semester was a great opportunity to create an international network and make international friends while also experiencing a new culture and uni. While we locked in during exam periods we also found enough time to enjoy Copenhagen and explore its nigh life as well as its extensive culture and social life offers.
