Look for accomodation as soon as possible. Preferably near the university, around Viale Regina Margherita e.g. We used Spotahome, but short term accomodations in Rome are rather expensive.

Spotahome - most exchange students booked through Spotahome, it is uncomplicated, but short-term stays are more expensive. We had a 2-bedroom apartment for 1800 EUR 10 minutes from LUISS Via Romania campus. Parioli, where the campus is, is really safe.

Really good campus building with a bar for daily espressos. Teaching style more frontal, some project works. Unfortunately, I wasn't really satisfied with the teaching methods of some professors. I might have just choosen the wrong courses as they were free electives and not curriculum. It is important to read through the topics that will be in the course. Energy Economics is a course where the teaching style was completely frontal, but the professor was really nice and gave everybody a passing grade of 18 in case you showed up to the exam. It might have been better to choose some master courses as they were more interesting, more challenging and informative - as I have heard from others.

Public transport is unreliable, it is recommended to stay near the university with good public transport connections. No safety issues around university / Parioli area, but would always keep an open eye, especially at night.

Rome is an incredibly beautiful city with several great museums and sights to see. I would definitely recommend going outside of the city to Tivoli and to the beach at Anzio. Immerse in the Italian life with daily espressi, cornettos and a walk around the city in the early morning, when the streets are empty.
