-If you live alone in Vienna and you keep your flat during your stay abroad like me, I highly reccomend to prepare your flat four your abstence: Ifor exmaple gave my dad a power of attorny (Postvollmacht) to collect important letters for me (Rsb or Rsa) and I aksed a friend to check on my apartment every 2-3 weeks to opend the windows, turn on the heater in the winter or use the water pipes. there is also a redirection of letters (Sendungsumleitung), where all your mail gets send to a different mail box. -definitley make a physical credit card with you name on it; it can just help you and I think at most Austrian banks they are free options for students -if you plan to drive a car in Argentina a international drivers licence (eg by the ÖATMC) definitely does not hurt. -if you have the time, get familiar with the basics in Spanish and also Argentinian spanish, it will make your experience way better

There is no type of on campus student housing. However the university offers a lot of ways to find an apartment or housing. There is a long list of apartments for one or more people, there is a list of host families, there are organisation that offer huge houeses for about 10 to share and there is of course AirBnb. With regards to the search experence, I did not feel stressed. most likely you will enter a group chat with all incoming students before the semester begins. It was very common to ask into this group chat if someone is interresed in sharing an apartment. Regarding the location, you will sooner or later hear about these districts: Palermo, Belgrano, Recoleta. I think all of these are nice and safe neighbourhoods. Palermo is definitely the most popular one. Maybe try to get youself familiar with the most common districts for students and find out what fits you best. Regarding proximity to university and things I´d wish to know before: If you can, try to find a location where you only need to take one bus to university. Changing buses can take a lot of time and be very exhausting after some time.

The canpus is very nice. During my stay there was a big construction, which sometimes made it honestly a bad expereience. But they are expaning the campus and building very nice things, so that is how it was. very nice and modern classrooms you have a lot of good, cheap-normal priced options to eat sadly there are no supermarkets or kioks very near amazing super freindly professors with an overall good teaching style

Public transport is good but you can not compare it to Vienna. There is a saying about Argentina: A bus will come, but no one knows when, but it will come. For that reason uber is VERY popular among exchnage students, since it quite cheap and more reliable. Buneos Aires is very safe, especially in those areas where students lice and spent there time. However, always try to be cautios, read your enviroments, get yourself familiar with certain ares, dont always take you phone out on the street etc. Regarding activities: Wether you like to go out, enjoy culture, nature, do sports. The best thing for me about BA is that there are so many activietes for everyone.

Looking back at my exchange at the Universidad Torcuato di Tella, I am sure that this was the right place for me. Argentina is a wonderfule country, Buneos Aires is a amazing city. The thing that made it special for me was, that one will be immersed in the culture, no matter where you come from or what you backround is. Beside very good teaching skills at eye level, professors will also tell you where to find the best steak in the city. Beside being polite and helpfule, random Argentinian students will offer you their mate and start talking to you. In a nutshell, you cannot escape the Argentinian culure and it is a beautifule experience. It is brought to you by the most friendly and warm-hearted people and at the end of yoour exchange, you also will become a bit Argentinian.
