It is advisable to start your research in good time and save all relevant pages and links. It is important to obtain information from the university itself first. It was helpful for me to have an overview of where to obtain which information (some by email, some in a document, some on the website). If in doubt, ask by email. The response was always quick and helpful. However, some organisational matters on the part of the university are dealt with quite late, so it is important not to let this drive you crazy.

I lived in student accommodation (Manchester Gardens). It was located in the middle of the campus, about a 20-minute walk from the university. All accommodation options are clearly listed on the website, along with the individual amenities. These also corresponded well with reality. My accommodation had an extra study room and common room accessible to all residents. This was very pleasant, especially when you wanted to study with others, so you weren't always stuck in your room. When it comes to payment, you have to click through the information and find the right option. However, it is also possible to pay your rent at the campus administration office (the office location is listed online or you can ask at reception).

The campus, especially the AMBS building, is very beautiful and modern. However, in the lecture halls, you always have to check whether there is a power socket available or not. The courses are always structured with one unit per week, and there is a free week without lectures during the study week (around the beginning of November). In my opinion, the quality of the lectures could be better. There are a lot of lectures and the exercises usually deal with a case study. The university offers many extracurricular activities. These are organised by the Student Union.

Public transport was good everywhere and it was also quite affordable to travel by bus. You could take part in lots of activities organised by the Student Union. There are also events in every area (e.g. language classes, trips, etc.).

The semester in England was a very positive experience. Everyone there was always friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend going there and doing all the activities you can fit in.
