1. Preparation

For application: For the interview it was important to be informed about Universidad de Valencia and Valencia/Spain in general. You should have looked into some of the courses so you know what you would like to take. For preparation: Book your flights early so it's cheaper and maybe include a few days before university in Spain starts to get to know the city and the area you live.

2. Accommodation

we found our flat at spotahome, but there is also rooms4valencia we lived in Algirós and it was very safe and really nice, it took me 10 minutes to walk to campus which was amazing I would recommend living near the university because its also close to city center and there is always a bus to the beach

3. Academic life at host university

The UV campus is very different from our home campus, but the campus is also nice it has a lot of green areas and possibilities to sit outside The Spanish students were a little bite hard to approach I found but all very nice The teaching style consists out of Practice and Theory Lessons and its more interactive and more "school style" I would say, I personally didn't like the teaching style that much, I prefer our system at WU I would recommend: "EU and international institutions" and "International Business Management"

5. Everyday life

For public transport we used bus and train, but they are not ver reliable and trains only come every 10-15 minutes and they stop at around 10 at night We used Valenbisi for a bit but the bikes are not always in perfect condition The city is very walkable so we walked almost everywhere Valencia is very safe, I had no bad interactions in my 5 months there, but I would be careful an the beach because of pickpockets For sports I can recommend getting class pass because it is cheaper than in Austria and there are so many options

6. Exchange semester in a nutshell

If I had to choose again I would definitely go to Valencia again! The city, weather and the people are amazing, there is so much you can do! I loved living so close to the beach this made my 5 months very special! To everyone going to Valencia, you will have an amazing time there!
