I recommend to learn at least a bit of Spanish in advance and to take lectures in Spanish you have to have B2 level. Argentinian people are very open and you will have a lot of fun with them if you can speak at least a little bit. With the basics you can practice and will hence improve a lot. If you already speak Spanish its a good idea to get familiar with the Argentinian accent as it will be difficult to understand in the beginning. Then it's good to have a physical credit (not debit card) as you will need to rent a car for roadtrips in Argentina.

I stayed in Palermo which is the part where almost all students stay. It's a beautiful neighborhood but also a bit more expensive. It's best to stay near an important bus station to get to the university fast. I recommend to choose a part of Palermo that is a bit more local and less touristy. Other great and more local neighborhoods are Belgrano, Villa Crespo and Recoleta. All those are really safe also at night.

The university has great facilities and a rooftop terrace from which you see the stadium of one of the greatest football clubs in the country. The academic culture is good and you have a lot of opportunities like political talks. People are very helpful and open and it's easy to make friends. It's way less formal and the relation with the professor is great. The quality of teaching in the master is really good and the lectures are very interesting. It's also possible to interact with the course. I recommend courses on politics and economics as Argentina is a country where you can learn a lot about those topics if you are interested.

Public transport is great but sometimes buses don't come. Uber is also quite cheap. Most neighborhoods are really safe. Just be a bit cautious and trust your intuition. Don't take your phone out in crowded places. It's probably one of the best student cities in the world. There is a lot to do. Exploring the city, cultural activities, concerts, etc. There is no other city in the world in which football is so central. Therefore I recommend to find a local or exchange student group to meet to play football.

Great, open people that will soak you up in their culture. In the end you will become a bit Argentinian yourself if you're open. Beautiful country with a wide range of different landscapes to explore. A city with a special character that will always have a special place in your heart.
