start early on your visa so that there is time to reach out to your exchange uni and immigration services (in case there might occur a problem). The visa process required a lot of time but the Singapore immigration service provides detailed instructions so it is clear what is required. Plan your courses ahead (including your e-requests). Remember to send an e-mail as evidence that you meet the requirements for the courses with prerequisites because they will not ask for evidence and simply reject you from that course.

I only applied for student housing and got in. They do not have a spot for every applicant though. The prices are very low (450-550 SG) and depend on whether you have a singe/twin room and AC. The living conditions however match the price. As Singapore is a safe country the accommodation itself and the campus is save as well (CCTV in front of the buildings and in the hall on every floor). The NTU campus is huge so the proximity to the faculty depends on which hall you get into (there are buses driving all over campus if it is too far to walk). The living conditions also depend on which hall you get into. I was in pioneer hall which was one of the oldest ones and it was truly not nice. However some of my friends were lucky enough to move into a new hall that was quite clean and modern. No matter in which hall you move in you need to buy a door block or else lizards and cockroaches can crawl into your room.

the new business school is very nice and modern (wee chow yow plaza). Unfortunately most of my courses took place in the old business school. The rooms had no windows and bad lighting and the AC was so cold that you should always bring a sweater. Honestly, I prefer the teaching style at WU. The profs at NTU were rather old school and stricter. The atmosphere in the classrooms was a bit more tense, participation was not as important and overall it felt more competitive. They have a lot of libraries and study places however it was always too crowded and loud for me to concentrate and it was too hot and humid to study outside. I recommend taking negotiation- strategy and practice and a Chinese language course. In both courses there were a lot of international students and the courses were quite interactive and the profs were super nice.

transport is quite cheap. One MRT ride costs up to 2,50SGD. I just had the impression that the MRT moves slower than the metro in Vienna. Singapore is indeed very safe. As a young woman you do not need to be worried at all (at least I always felt safe and did not hear of any critical incident). NTU offers many different sports clubs and has several gyms on campus. Unfortunately Singapore can get a bit boring as a tourist since it is a small country. However there are a lot of nice bars and cafes you can go to.

There were not many special moments since I had a quite strict daily schedule. The proximity to many different asian countries was definitely an advantage for traveling and the international community in Singapore was a plus.
