1. Preparation

Preparation due to good organization from the partner university. However official documents arrive quite late in the semester (end of June), nonetheless there is enough time for all of logisitcal preparations (Visa preparation takes about 5 days). For accommodation it is recommended to use sites like my room abroad as dormitories are quite limited in capacity and give him out very short before the semester.

For accommodation it is recommended to use sites like my room abroad as dormitories are quite limited in capacity and give him out very short before the semester. Also recommended to check locations of potential dormitories as some of them are located quite far away from the University. City generally very safe Area around university campus lively and interesting. I lived in at Gongguan directly next to the university campus and loved it there. Many shared flats available is looking at the right time (beginning of July for me).

3. Academic life at host university

Huge Campus with many Amenities (gym, pool, courts etc). Englishes courses mostly taught in a blocked format with guest Profs. More frontal style in the non international courses compared to WU. Due to the ECTs requirements, large course load, however easily manageble if taking enough well timed blocked courses.

6. Testimonial

I can confidently say that choosing NTU was one of the best decisions of my academic journey. The combination of academic rigor, cultural immersion, and the vibrant life in Taipei made for an unforgettable experience. Immersing myself in Taiwanese culture was a highlight of my stay. The local people have been nothing but wonderful—warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful whenever I needed assistance. A major part of this cultural experience was, naturally, the food. The culinary landscape in Taipei is fantastic, ranging from world-class restaurants to the vibrant and bustle of the night markets. Beyond the city, I found the nature of Taiwan to be breathtaking. I loved every moment of exploring the island’s diverse geography, from hiking through serene tea farms and climbing mountains to surfing on the coast. Taipei itself is a city with endless discovery, offering a mix of history in its museums and energy in its nightlife.
